Ultimutt Dog Care to Host First Ever Bark for the Cure Benefiting the Susan G. Komen Ozark Affiliate

Fort Smith, AR - September 8, 2010 – Ultimutt Dog Care is hosting the first ever Ultimutt’s Bark for the Cure, a fun walk/run for hounds and their humans benefiting the Susan G. Komen Ozark Affiliate. The event will be held Thursday, September 30, 2010 at MARS Petcare, 10000 Roberts Boulevard at Chaffee Crossing, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and participants can pre-register by visiting Ultimutt Dog Care at 5702 S. 73rd Place in Fort Smith or register at the event.

All proceeds from the fun run/walk will benefit the Susan G. Komen Ozark Affiliate, which serves an eight county area. Of all funds raised to support the Ozark Affiliate, up to 75 percent are given back to support the needs of the local community through grants and services. The remaining 25 percent are used to support research for a cure to end breast cancer.

Ultimutt’s Bark for the Cure will support the local community with the proceeds from this event. People and pooches can be a part of this local effort to provide greater access to breast health services to those who are uninsured or underinsured. Participants may pre-register by September 15 for $20 per person (registration includes one dog per person). There is a $25 registration fee for participants who register after September 15.
